Last night I was laying in bed thinking about how much I missed talking to you all! I have made some big changes in my life and am continuing to move forward!
2016 is my year and I can’t wait to share it with you all! Stay tuned!
As most of you know i suffer from severe anxiety to the point it has stopped me from doing things. As i am sitting here today looking back on my day i feel like i have made a significant amount of progress in just one day!
First i went to the doctors office – So some of you are like yeah so? but for me that is a huge milestone! One of a huge triggers in my anxiety is attending appointments! I have a very nice doctor and once i am there i am find, but getting into that office is very hard. So today i overcame that and went to the doctors to talk about my anxiety! I have been given a few tools i’m hoping will help me out a bit.
Second i got some financial burdens figured out – I am currently unemployed but slowly building up a working from home business. I was able to pay off some debts and even get into the bank to get them all sorted out. Yet again going to the bank may be easy for you but for me it is a large fear that i was able to overcome.
I feel like opening up about my anxiety is making things so much easier. People just think i don’t want to work and i want to stay home and live on welfare for the rest of my life, but are you kidding me!!!! There is nothing more that i would rather do then go to work and pay off my debts, move out of my mothers house and into a place i can call my own, give my daughter everything and anything she can possibly imagine.
So like i said yes those small tasks may seem stupid, but i got help! That is the most important thing i want everyone to take out of this post. I seeked help and finally felt like someone was on my side. I put a plan into place and i’m going to continue to work towards my goals both long term and short!
I will beat this anxiety and i will overcome everything i need to in order to give my daughter and i the best life i possibly can!
Thanks for listening, See you soon, Jamie ❤
Well this weekend has been a SUPER busy weekend! It is thanksgiving here in Canada So happy thanksgiving everyone! We also had a huge fair on this weekend in town and decided to go to that 2 of the days. And on top of that i decided to attempt to make my very first turkey dinner!
So brooks first fair was a huge success! She had so much fun and i’m so happy she got to go. She was a champ on all of the rides and just kept wanting to go on more and more! I am so fortunate to be able to do this for her and i look forward to carrying on more traditions just like i did as a child! When i was younger we used to go to the fair every thanksgiving weekend and then we’d have a turkey dinner at my grandmas on the monday!
This thanksgiving i decided to cook a turkey myself! Since my grandmother passed away we have yet to ever have a thanksgiving dinner. So lets just say the turkey was definetely and experience! The worst part was preparing the turkey. Lets just say it turned my stomach… And i honestly debated continuing but i knew i had to do this or we weren’t going to have a thanksgiving dinner! So i ended up making turkey, potatos, stuffing, corn, cranberries and a fresh pumpkin pie! I wish i had taken pictures of it because i was so proud that i did this for my family.
Heres a few pictures from the fair! This weekend was full of “baby daddy drama” which i won’t be getting into in this post, but spending it with the ones you love is truly the best feeling ever!
See You Soon, Jamie ❤
So i’m a day late on my conversations with my two year old post but that is because my sales are really starting to pick up! But that’s no excuse so heres the story. Basically my child is exactly what the title says, frozen obsessed!
On Saturday she was taking a nap with grandma. When she decided it was time to wake up she rolled over pryed my mom’s eyes open and said “do you want to build a snow man!” Now of course this is just hilarious but can you imagine being woken up from a sleep to that!
Then on sunday she was outside playing and she ran up to me and said “mom, it’s coronation day!” and then ran away. When i went to follow her out to the back yard she was standing at the top of the slide yelling “in summer!!!” and some other mumbles that sounded like the rest of olaf’s song.
For those of you that have never seen the movie you probably have no idea what i am talking about, but if you have children then you can probably relate on so many levels to this! She has always loved the movie but i think as she gets older she is now fully understanding it and singing the songs. Man is she cute! I love listening to her sing and say these funny quotes. I hope this gave everyone a nice laugh as well.
I am hoping this week is a much better week then last, i have so many things to do and am completely decluttering the house! Starting with the bedrooms so stay tuned for that!
See you soon, Jamie ❤
Well it’s that time of the week again and i’m back with another “conversations with my 2 year old.” This week i didn’t have anything planned until nap time today.. I went to get my daughter up from my her nap and i smell something funny, i just figured she had pooped no big deal. Until i went in and found poop smeared all over the wall! she looked at me and said “Look mom i drew a sun!” As impulse i started to go a little crazy and she said “but mom i just wanted to draw you a picture” Oh my goodness it’s a good thing my little girl is cute because she drives me crazy sometimes! I talked to a few other moms and apparently their kids have done this more then once.. Well great! Like i said it’s a good thing she’s cute!
On a lighter note i’m happy to announce that with the help of a fellow blogger introduced me to an app called “Mom Chat” I know it is available for iOS, but i’m unsure if it is available for android. If any of you using android try it please let me know! If you would like to contact me my username on the app is “jammer_harv” I would love to get in touch with you all and meet some new mommy friends! Thank you to my new friend Marielli_ for showing my this app!
I hope to hear from you guys! See You Soon, Jamie ❤
As summer is slowly coming to an end i find myself laying here on a friday looking back at all of the adventures we have had. Although i havent done nearly as much traveling as the previous 2 summers with brook this has truely been the best one yet! Brook is 2 and a half and i feel like she can do so much this year! She learned how to swim, shes riding a bike, she plays outside with the neighbourhood kids and soo much more! But what im really writing to tell you about is our experience at our local safari/ zoo.
Now before we go any further i know there is people out there who dont agree with zoo’s and such but i truely feel like this has been an amazing learning experience for brook. Basically the majority of the animals are not in cages for the entire day! You get to drive your car through different paths to see all the different animals playing in there “areas.” Dont worry ill have lots of pictures at the end!
I just think its incredible that we are able to experience all these animals literally 15 minutes from my house! Its such a good learning experience for brook and i am so happy we purchased a season pass as we go once or twice a week! Each time theres something different for us to do and she had truely enjoyed it up until this point! I dont know what were going to do when the safari closes at the end of september!
What do you guys like to do with your little ones? We are constantly looking for new things to do?!
Until next time, jamie<3
